Okay, first off, let me just say na bubuhayin ko na muna for the mean time itong blog na ‘to. Mukhang kailangan kasi.

Anyway, let’s get to the topic.

Sabi nga ng professor ko sa PolSci11 na si Sir Ramota eh, “It is impossible for a person to not subscribe to a particular ideology. Political man o hindi, meron at meron yan.”

Sinabi ng kanilang USC chair na si Jason Alacapa na they either accept the ideas of the leftist, the neutrals, and of the rightist. HIJO, ANO’NG SABI MO? PWEDENG PAKI-ULIT?

WHERE IS CONSISTENCY?

You do not simply give your own opinion about collective action loosely. Pinag-aaralan yan. Alam kong med student ka, Phil Arts naman ang vice mo, but that’s not an excuse for you to not know the very essence of collective action.

This university is not for sale. Education should not be commercialized. Let us be considerate of the other’s financial needs when it comes to education at hindi puro nalang facilities ang iniisip niyo. Sure, it is better if we get better facilities than what we have right now, pero hindi naman public-private ownership ang solusyon dito. Sabi nga ni Neen Sapalo during the meeting de avance, “State university po ito. Simple as that, kuha mo?

Pang-apat, sana during campaign period eh hindi na kayo nag-release pa ng black propaganda against Cleve Arguelles of A-K. Sure, inevitable naman ang ganung instances sa mga eleksyon, but hey, think of this: Taga-UP ka. Do you really have to go that low para lang makakuha ng boto ng tao?

Pang-lima, “ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY DENY LANG”. Ang bribery issue, for the love of GOD. Aba’y huwag niyo kaming gawing TANGA. Ano ma’t ano mang mangyari, lalabas at lalabas ang katotohanan. Hindi ba kayo mag-aapologize publicly for how you acted behind the people’s eyes? How about your dignity? At ang “deny lang” issue na ito does not only go for the bribery issue. You do not simply “deny lang” everything that you said behind the people’s back. Yung mga screen shots sa wordpress, how will you explain that? Yung mga pinagsasabi niyo sa UP HOPE? Ano na?

That’s all thank you. I just lost faith in the whole student body for not being critical enough in choosing kung sinong dapat maka-upo sa posisyon.

Two Years of no Justice

Today, November 23, 2011, is the 24th month of the infamous Ampatuan Massacre.

Most of us may have forgotten this horrible event in our history. This issue may have been overshadowed by the recent issues in our country.

But by letting this event just pass us by our consciousness, we seem to be condoning the perpetrators of this crime. Or depriving justice to the victims and their families. Or allowing the culture of impunity in our country.

He who does not punish evil commands it to be done.

Justice for the victims of the Ampatuan Massacre. Never forget. Never again.

May umiikot na tanong kasi sa Facebook, Which is the most prestigious university in the Philippines? Separate entity pa ang UP system at UPD.

Seryoso?

I don’t know her personally nor seen her around the campus but my deepest sympathies goes to her family and everyone who loves and knows her.

Justice will be given to Given.

May she rest in God’s arms forever.

isn’t it funny how the world reminds us of who we are?

where we’ve been.

where we’re going.

how it reminds us of every crevice of our being.

how it continuously gives us that sense of serenity and of peace.

of purpose.

of hope.

and of perspective.

i am but a grain of sand in this strip of beaches we call world.
